The approval rating of the nation's highest court has dropped amid a series of ethical controversies. The first term ended with some bombshell rulings, including the overturning of Roe. The session is the second featuring the conservative supermajority. Given the media coverage, justices "want to make sure to produce strong, compelling and persuasive opinions." Political scientist Alex Badas told Newsweek that major cases "have longer majority opinions and more concurring and dissenting opinions," and that's why "it takes longer" to complete the process.
